The OWB Duty Holster is built with with 0.093" and comes standard with a genuine Safariland SLS Hood and Duty Belt attachment, making a true Level 2 Retention holster.
Upgrade to a Level 3 by adding the Safariland Sentry Guard.
Other options include, adding a Hood Guard and adjustable friction retention.
This combination of Self Locking System options results in maximum security for your weapon, with minimal effect on your ability to use it.
The SLS Sentry is an accessory that adds an additional level of security to any SLS duty holster. Since the operator’s thumb falls naturally onto the lever, using the Sentry adds only two-tenths of a second to the draw, on average. Yet it will convert a Safariland Level II Retention holster Level III Retention holster.
The SLS Hood Guard provides added protection to the rotating hood, yet still allows a fast, positive draw and reholster—without adding movements or changing the natural motion of the operator’s hand. The Hood Guard not only makes it difficult for someone trying to grab your weapon, it can prevent objects from hitting the SLS hood, providing extra security when rappelling or crawling, and keeping your vest and outer clothing from interfering with your draw.

I'll begin by saying there is a definite wait time. If you're looking for something "off the shelf" well... move along. For those of you tired of holsters that don't fit, don't have good retention, or are crudely assembled then read on.
I purchased the OWB Duty Holster for an HK P30 in 40SW after scouring the web for something other than a universal holster. Not exactly an easy pistol to find holsters for. I happened across some YouTube videos and telephoned Nick. Had to leave a message. He actually called me back. That's rare! Apparently that's normal business for Nick as he spoke to me on 2 other occasions. He talked me through what options there were, and helped me make a decision.
I placed the order with some very specific custom component requests. All of them were met. This holster is worth the wait! The fit and finish is perfect. Not just good, but perfect. This guy knows how to make it work like a holster should and have it look good too.
I know we all have that box of holsters we wish we'd never bought. Now that I've found a good "holstersmith" I can finally stop adding to it. :-)

I needed an oddball duty holster for a CZ SP01 with a streamlight. Naturally I looked at Safariland first because they're the gold standard and my life depends on my gear. Unfortunately Safariland DID NOT have what I needed. I did some searching and found Blade Tech etc etc and they would accommodate my needs, but like I said safariland is the gold standard. I stumbled across Nicks website and found he makes custom Duty Holsters using Safariland parts. I called and BS'd a little and found Nick to be very knowledgeable to what a Law Enforcement Officer needs on the street. So we went over specs and he said he could make exactly what I needed! Upon arrival I found the holster to be extremely well made and rugged. The plus again was the use of Safarilands trusted hood and Sentry system so I knew what Nick made was top notch. His Kydex is reinforced and molded perfectly around my pistol. Just ordered another holster for a Sig 226 Legion SAO with a Streamlight (Safariland missed the boat again). Sorry for the rant, I'm that impressed god bless and stay safe everyone,

For months at end, I have been searching for a level 3 retention holster for my H&K VP40. I have checked out Safariland, Blackhawk, Gould & Goodrich, DeSantis, Uncle Mikes, Bladetech, and many other companies including Dara Holsters, majority of them said they won't make a level 3 for the VP40 and that they only will make it for the VP9. Safariland and Blackhawk kept on giving me dates for when it was going to be released and they kept pushing it back on later dates so I got sick and tired of waiting and being told dates that it wasn't going to be released on. I came accross a friend on Facebook that recommended me Nickydex. So I contacted the company, first of all I would like to say is the people who work for the company answers the phone even after hours which is a huge plus. I explained I needed to order a level 3 holster so I go back to work and I explained the run around these holster companies were giving me. I spoke with the owner Nick and ge reassured me that this project can get done. So I processed my order and I was expecting at least 4 to 6 weeks for completion. After the second day I got a phone call and text with the holster being built, this really was awesome after couple more days going by I received a text saying it's going through finalized testing and immediately right after it was shipped. 1 and a half week and I received my holster. The customer service is nothing short of stellar. The quality of the holster is outstanding it's very comfortable wear and looks very sharp. Thank you guys and great job.
